BAA 2020 Biennial Show
Where do we go next?
What do we do next?
What comes next?
NEXT is expressed and explored by 21 artists from the Northeast. 37 paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, mixed media and graphic works are represented, offering wide ranging interpretations of the theme.
Jurors for the exhibit were artists Tatana Kellner, printmaker, book designer, a founder of the Women’s Studio Workshop; Nancy Gaucher-Thomas, president of Providence Art Club, founder of Rhode Island Art League; and Leo Quiles, adjunct professor at MCLA and artist-in-residence at Darrow School.
“With our 2018 Biennial Show, "Showing Up", artists dealt with issues of community and civic engagement. Our 2020 show asks, What’s Next? The art takes the question in many directions, drawing us into artist’s concepts of what could be.” Mary Beth Eldridge, Berkshire Art Association President.
Berkshire County artists in NEXT, Ali Herrmann, Sean McCusker, Marilyn Orner, Julian Rocca, Joan Rooks, Denise Roszkowski, Maria Sinatra, Ilene Spiewak, Kyle Strack, Scott Taylor, and Bella Vendetta. Artists from the greater Northeast region include Wendy K. Slate Berman, David Black, Matthew J. Peake, Kira Clingen, Marisa Companion, Peter Knapp, David Lionheart, Paul M. Murray, Dan Walworth, and John Woldin.
