There’s something so intimate and compelling about unresolved, open-ended work. Work that is finished yet incomplete. Unfinished work allows you to see beyond the surface of the work and into the creative process and psychological state of the maker. Unfinished holds a unique kind of beauty, free from error.
The BAA board aims to award $5000 in fellowship awards. The BAA College Fellowship is funded in part by the Norman and Rose Avnet Fellowship Endowment and supplemental private donations. In 2021 and 2022, the Feigenbaum Foundation funded the fellowship award.
Additionally, local artists support the Fellowship through their donations of art to the 10×10 Art Show Benefit raffle event, held at the Berkshire Museum as part of the City of Pittsfield’s 10×10 Festival.
