From January 4 to February 1, 2014, the Berkshire Art Association is presenting “JOHN STRITCH POSTERS: Off the Wall” at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. John Stritch’s bold, serigraphed posters encompass the spirit of the Berkshires’ cultural venues, athletic events, and scenic beauty over the past forty years.  Although only a part of Stritch’s oeuvre, the posters reflect his knowledge and love for his subjects in a way that any audience can appreciate. The awards ceremony for the Berkshire Art Association’s annual Fellowship Show was held Saturday, April 13th at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts.  This show year-in and year-out is a choice highlight of the Lichtenstein schedule and a fantastic showcase for the amazing talents of currently enrolled college art students who are either Berkshire County residents attending any college, or non-residents studying at Berkshire County colleges.  The works of thirteen gifted young artists was displayed this time out and the bounds of the exhibit space were pushed from floor to ceiling and beyond. The highly anticipated inaugural collaboration event organized by members of the Berkshire Art Association and the Storefront Artist Project was a rousing mid-winter success.  The “10×10 RAP”, “real art party”, was held on February 20th at the Berkshire Museum, 39 South Street.  The art show was a featured inclusion to the second edition of the “10×10 Upstreet Winter Arts Festival”, which began on February 14th.  Up until the main event, museum goers were treated to an inspiring look at the wonderful contributions to this special exhibit.
