This year, DownStreet Art is especially interested in proposals from artists and curators that will activate DownStreet Art beyond “DownStreet Art Thursday’s”.  Examples would include proposals that have an ongoing interactive element, temporary outdoor installations, exhibitions that encourage participation or proposals for works-in-progress that will culminate in a performance or exhibition opening. The College Club, in partnership with Berkshire Community College (BCC), invites artists to submit paintings for a juried art show as part of the College Club’s Centennial Celebration.  The theme of the show is Women on the Move:  A Hundred-Year Journey. A $500 award will be given for the winning entry.  In addition, the painting will be hung permanently in BCC’s Jonathan Edwards Library to commemorate the College Club’s centennial.  Honorable mention awards will be given to a BCC student as well as a BCC graduate. January, 2015 Berkshire Art Association (BAA) and Storefront Artist Project (SAP) in collaboration with the Berkshire Museum   To:  BERKSHIRE ARTISTS CALL FOR ART for the 10×10 RAP (REAL ART PARTY) Last year was so much fun, we are again seeking 10×10 inch original art to be donated for the 10×10 RAP – a fundraiser benefitting Berkshire County art students.  Artists donating original art will be listed on the Artist Registry at berkshireartassociation.org.
