Party with Real Art; Take a Piece Home for $25 at the 10×10 RAP

Berkshire County and Beyond (December 28, 2015) – Berkshire Art Association is at it again! Artists from the Berkshires and beyond are contributing 10×10 inch original works of art to be given away for just $25 each during the 10×10 RAP (Real Art Party) at the Berkshire Museum on Thursday, February 18. The art show and party will benefit Berkshire County through BAA Fellowships for college art students, art field trip awards to Berkshire high school art departments, and free admission for art students to the Berkshire Museum.
A $25 ARTtix guarantees the buyer a work of art to take home the night of the party! ARTtix may be purchased on February 12 at the Berkshire Museum admissions desk through the night of the 10×10 RAP. Tickets do sell out, be sure to buy early and often! The doors open at 5:30pm and the drawing begins at 7pm sharp! Tickets will be chosen in a random order and the bearer will be able to choose any work of art that is still on the wall. Admission for the evening is free. “It’s always a fun community event that brings out the best of our local artists as well as some friendly competition from the crowd!” says BAA President Danielle Steinmann.
Ticket holders can pick their favorite 10×10 RAP piece in the Crane Room at the Berkshire Museum on February 12, 2016 through the February 18, 2016. Donated work will also be posted online at berkshireartassociation.org and the Berkshire Art Association’s Facebook page, facebook.com/berkshire. art. The show will include work in many mediums: drawings, prints, textiles, photography, collages, and ceramic art. n the words of BAA secretary Mary Rentz, “The cost makes REAL ART affordable – art in every home!”
